2021 Lime Mill Gearbox

  • Assess 2 off gearboxes that were stored outside
  • Reuse as many parts as possible to make one good gearbox
  • Manufacture new parts as required
Gearbox casing coated internally to protect from corrosion
White metal bearing pads scrapped to achieve consistent thickness
Lead in hand scrapped
Covers and spigots adjusted to achieve desired gear mesh, end float and back lash.
Output drive plate machined flat for refurbished white metal bearings to run on
